Russo Healing Arts was established to support individuals in improving their quality of life and holistic wellbeing through the transformative power of art, music, and mindfulness. Our sessions seek to assist people in personal growth through meaningful and beneficial learning and creative self-exploration. We believe it is important to create a nonjudgemental, safe space that welcomes clients to be their authentic and unmasked selves.

Michael J Russo, MS MT-BC is a music teacher and board-certified music therapist with a background in music therapy, Psychology, and adaptive music instruction. Michael sings and plays guitar, piano, violin, percussion, banjo, bass, ukulele, and many miscellaneous electronic instruments. His hobbies include painting, and sculpting with clay.
Michael completed a Masters of Science degree in Music Therapy at Molloy University, and a Bachelors of Science degree in Psychology with a minor in Music at Fordham University. Michael has several years of professional experience working as an adaptive music instructor for people with disabilities, and several years of experience leading music therapy sessions for people with developmental disorders, with psychiatric disorders, in pediatric ICU, in hospice, and in drug and alcohol detox and rehabilitation programs. He has worked with thousands of people, spanning a wide range of ages, backgrounds, abilities, and needs.
